COVID-19 Updates

As your dental team, we would like to thank you for continuing to partner with us as we navigate these unprecedented changes in health care. We are grateful for your understanding as we evolve and adapt to how we can continue to provide care for you during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Be assured that we have always followed state and federal regulations. Also, we continue to follow the recommended universal personal protection and disinfection protocols to limit the transmission of all diseases in our office. We are also taking some additional precautions for your safety. This includes screening of all people who enter the clinic, additional deep cleaning of clinical areas and common use areas, and enforced social distancing where needed. Our staff is equipped with the recommended PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and has been trained in safety protocols. We are asking all patients to wear their own masks or face coverings when in the office to help decrease the risk of transmission of disease. Please understand our mask supplies are limited at this time, so we may not be able to provide masks for patients. Finally, only patients with appointments will be allowed into the office except for a parent or guardian when needed. 

If you are at higher risk for contracting COVID-19 because of underlying health conditions or other reasons, we urge you to make your own decision as to whether or not you feel you need to be seen in our office. Our team will work with you to reschedule your appointment if you feel the need to do so or to answer any questions you may have before coming in for your appointment.

When you are ready to come in for your dental procedure, patients (and anyone needing to accompany them into the office) must electronically sign a COVID-19 disclosures and consent within 24 hours before the appointment. The form is available on our website on the Forms page, and may also be sent to you via email or text if we have that information on file for you. This form is a health questionnaire regarding exposure and/or symptoms of COVID-19. You may be asked to repeat this screening if you are scheduled for multiple appointments. 

On the day of your appointment, please come into the office to check in. If you prefer to wait in your vehicle please call us to check in. A staff member will make sure you have completed the screening and will take your temperature with a no-touch thermometer when we are ready to bring you back into a treatment room. Again, we request family members remain outside the office during your procedure unless a parent or guardian is needed to accompany a small child or adult patient needing physical assistance. 

 
What to expect at your appointment:

We have some processes in place to keep our patients and staff safe:
1. There are chairs safely spaced in our waiting area and we clean the waiting area regularly.
2. A mask is required. This is still in effect as of May 18th, 2021, per the MN Board of Dentistry.
3. Please limit the people entering the office to patients only unless a parent /guardian or personal care assistant needs to accompany the patient.
4. Before bringing you back for your appointment a staff member will take your temperature with a non-contact thermometer. We will also have hand sanitizer for you, and ask you to use a antibacterial mouth rinse.
