A Great Dentist

Dr. Keira Nicholson

"I am blessed to have the opportunity to improve patients' lives by improving their smiles!"

Dr. Keira Nicholson grew up in Montevideo, MN, and graduated from Montevideo High School in 2004. After high school, she completed a two-year degree in graphic design at Alexandria Technical College. Dr. Nicholson decided to pursue a career in healthcare and determined that dentistry would be a perfect fit, allowing her to use her artistic abilities while caring for patients. She completed her pre-dental coursework at Minnesota State University, Mankato, before attending dental school at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. She graduated with her Doctorate of Dental Science degree in June, 2014.
After dental school, Dr. Nicholson moved to Fort Riley, Kansas to serve as a general dentist as a captain in the US Army. During this time, she sought to provide the highest level of dental care to our nation’s soldiers. After four years in the Army, Dr. Nicholson and her family moved back to Minnesota.
Dr. Nicholson enjoys all aspects of dentistry including fillings, crowns, root canals, and providing treatment for kids. Her favorite aspect of dentistry is connecting with her patients and making appointments a comfortable and fun experience for everyone.
Dr. Nicholson has a special interest in dental sleep medicine, providing oral appliance therapy to patients who suffer from obstructive sleep apnea and snoring. She holds a "Qualified Dentist" designation through the AADSM and is working to become a "Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine", the highest credential a dentist can earn in dental sleep medicine.
When Dr. Nicholson isn’t working she enjoys spending time with her husband and three kids. They provide a lot of chaos and even more happiness!
Dr. Nicholson is happy to join the Orono Dental Care team! She feels blessed to have the opportunity to improve patients' lives by improving their smiles!
